Ali McGuigan serves as a Policy Fellow for PSW, working primarily on research. McGuigan supports clients on issues relating to trade, energy, transportation, agriculture, defense, and international affairs.
Prior to joining Public Strategies Washington in June 2017, McGuigan completed her first year of graduate coursework at the University of Texas at Austin’s Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. Upon completion of her PSW fellowship, she will receive a Master of Global Policy from the LBJ School. During her time at LBJ, she served as a Research Affiliate for Innovations for Peace and Development and created maps in ArcGIS for projects analyzing food security, and conflict and aid distribution in Africa.
McGuigan is a 2016 graduate of Texas Christian University where she earned her B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations and minors in Spanish and Criminal Justice. While earning her undergraduate degree, Ali worked at Dream Outside the Box, a non-profit focused on exposing children in underserved communities to higher education and career pathways through college student led after school programming.
